About Arthur Gutkin

From childhood, art has been my escape and my anchor—carrying me beyond the walls of a small apartment into worlds of imagination, color, and comfort. The ability to create beauty with my own hands has always been a gift, one for which I remain deeply grateful.

For forty years, I practiced trial law. And amid its daily stress and conflict, art was my sanctuary—both in appreciation and creation. Upon retiring, I discovered another calling as a certified hypnotist and cognitive coach, where I found that art and imagery could also support healing and transformation.

Through the years, my creativity has grown and evolved. What began with sketches and traditional paintings has expanded into a wide range of styles and techniques. While pointillism once fascinated me for the way thousands of dots form a unified whole, today I continue to explore new methods and approaches, including Abstract Expressionism—always guided by curiosity and the joy of discovery. My work often reflects landscapes, seascapes, and still life—scenes that offer a sense of presence and peace.

Encouraged by family and friends, I began sharing my art beyond private circles. I have since been honored to be juried and selected by panels of professional artists to exhibit my paintings in galleries and competitions.

Above all, my hope is that those who view my art find in it the same beauty, calm, and inspiration that it has always brought to me.
